Please pray for a member of my parish who will be shipping out to Afghanistan soon for (I believe) his third time. Please say a prayer for him, his brigade and his family at home.

Lord please keep him and his fellow service-persons safe in all regards.

Almighty and eternal God,
those who take refuge in you will be glad
and forever will shout for joy.
Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties.
Protect them with the shield of your strength
and keep them safe from all evil and harm.
May the power of your love enable them to return home
in safety, that with all who love them,
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

As I bow my head in Prayer Lord I ask that you keep our soldiers safe and return home healthy…Lord please guide our protectors and heros in the best direction…In Jesus Name I Pray …Amen, Warmly, LynneMarie
