I’m evangelizing on a Secular forum, and an Atheist sent me two articles, here’s the first one: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/something-from-nothing-vacuum-can-yield-flashes-of-light/

I’ll post there other one later, I already see a lot of flaws in this article but I’d like your help presenting the best possible refutation of this argument. (By there way, he was responding to me presenting the argument from contingency so, I want the refutation presented in a way that reinforces that argument.)

Not a physicist by any means, but from what I understand a quantum vacuum is simply not “nothing”. Rather, it is very much “something”. Energy, pressure, space, etc.

Here is a NY Times book review critical of Lawrence Krauss’ “A Universe From Nothing” that might be applicable to your debate.

Thanks, I’ll take a closer look at this article later, I’m still reading the other article the Atheist sent me, I may have to post the other thread anyway without finishing it.

This Protestant Youtube Video here, helps explain things a bit, but I was wondering is you or someone else here, can translate it into a Thomistic or Scholastic explanation so I can understand it better, as well as avoid any philosophical errors:
A Universe From Nothing, Therefore God Exists! -Youtube

I don’t see any major flaws in this article. It looks like some interesting applications of physics. I don’t think there is anything to refute in this article. What remains is for you to refute the atheist’s unsubstantiated claim that physics can disprove the existence of God. (Neither do I think physics can prove the existence of God, although it can certainly strengthen the faith of a believer.)
