I have begun the PFI program in long Island NY. I know the diocese of Rochester and San Francisco provide this program. Has anyone been through this program? I would appreciate some feed back.

Got it.

The Archdiocese of Detroit has something similar to certify Catechical Leaders
Undergraduate Theology and General Studies:

Prerequisite Courses: (Basic Diploma in Pastoral Ministry)

CLA153 Rhetoric (3)
CLA 161 Introduction to Oral Communication (3)
Introduction to Psychology (3)
or
Introduction to Sociology (3)
PHL 230 History of Philosophy I (3)
THE 123 Introduction to Theology (2)
THE 249 Introduction to Sacred Scripture (3)
THE 210 Introduction to Liturgy and Sacraments (2)
THE 274 Introduction to Moral Theology (2)
THE 219 The Catholic Church and Its Life (2)
THE 243 Introduction to Spirituality (2)
MNS 249 Ministry and Practicum (2)

(Students are also required to participate in three Formation Days on Discernment, Theological Reflection, and Spiritual Direction.)
To be a Director of Religious Education, the Archdiocese requires a Masters of Art in Pastorial Studies (MAPS)

I am a Aspirant in Formation to the Deaconate, so I take many of the same courses.

All of these classes are taken at Sacred Heart Major Seminary

Sounds similiar to the “New Wine Ministry Formation Program” started in Kansas City.
