Patriarch Cheikho and Ba'athist-Iraq

Apparently Tariq Aziz was quite rude to the former Patriarch. Mr Aziz told the Patriarch that the book must be taught regardless of religious belief. The Patriarch then apparently beat Aziz’s head, with his Episcopal-Shepards stick.

Mar Paul II Cheikho was a courageous and long serving patriarch, who served us for 31 years. He fell asleep in the Lord in 1989, so I never got much of a chance to know him since I was a little kid back then. May his memory be eternal.
