Forgive me if this seems like a novice question, but…

I was looking up the patron Saint of soldiers, and I found several listed. Under “soldiers,” I found George, Martin of Tours, Maurice, and Sebastian (in that order). Under “soldiers, American,” I found Joan of Arc.

Which is correct? Or are they all correct? Would one of them be more accepted as the patron saint, persay?

I believe the Centurion Longinus whom speared Christ on the cross is also a patron saint for soldiers.

Joan of Arc is for sure a patron of soldiers - she almost single-handedly saved France from being completely overrun by the English. Not sure about the American soldier bit though.

I wouldn’t say there’s one who’s ‘more of a patron’ than any of the others - just read up about them and choose whichever one or ones appeal most to you.
