I’ve only read one of Wright’s books, The Resurrection of the Son of God, which is very thorough – he takes the trouble to refute every single argument against the literal truth of the Resurrection narrative, one by one. He makes sure he has left no stone unturned, but at the cost of sometimes repeating the same information in a different context. Of course, I have no way of telling whether he does this in all his books. On the plus side, he writes very readably and even entertainingly. The reader is never left in any doubt as to the author’s meaning, which unfortunately isn’t something you can say about all writers in the field of NT studies.
