I can’t answer for the OP, but to venture a guess, I would think that it is because it is a silly question to ask Catholics since they believe the teachings of Paul, no?

I am going to go ahead and tell you my take on this one and I will leave it at that to see if you want to discuss it or not.
Micah 5:
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
The above verse is the one pulled out to support that it was Jesus since it is said that he was born in bethlehem… as if he were the only one born there.
Note following sequence of events!
3 (1)Therefore will he give them up,(2)until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: (3) then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
That is not how it worked with Jesus. He was born from “she”… then gave up… and, well, maybe Jesus already gathered his followers together and the Church missed out on it?
4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
See, there is no giving up after the “she” brings forth. She brings forth, the remnant of his brethren …
WAIT A MINUTE!!! Don’t Catholics claim that Jesus has no brothers? Well, anyway…
She brings forth, the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel, and he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD…
More reasons why this passage blows HUGE holes in what the Catholic Church teaches:
- LORD and this ruler are not one in the same. There is a distinct difference… so Jesus can not be the LORD … and the Catholic Church teaches that he is.
- There is no talk of a crucifixion, death, resurrection, or anything of the sort… no rapture, between the time that she brings forth and when he is to stand in the strength of the LORD.
5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
I do wonder about this actually… will have to get back to you. Still, from the above that I have shown does not fit Jesus.
6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
I love those two above verses. The Jewish who have held tight to what God commanded them really are as a dew from the LORD.
anyway… I could go on, but by now, you should see that this is not a prophecy of Jesus. As I said, it is easy for someone to come in and pencil in a few of the verses to fit the life of a man… it is quite another to try and fit it in 100% as it was declared… ALL OF IT… the life of Jesus.
Perhaps though, you still see this fitting Jesus. I will await to find out how.

And no o ne seems to agree with you. What exactly Religion are you right now? I can see you dislike Catholics there is no doubt about that, And you sure do not agree with the Jewish understanding of Religion, By the way I sent you all of that scripture for one reason, It came from that Jewish site. You know the one that makes you so sad. I figured since you don’t agree with Catholic scripture and teachings you would with the Jewish. I really don’t see where any Catholic or protestant or Jew can help or explain anything to you. I showed you time after time you do not have the gift of the Holy Spirit to understand scripture. That is why you are so confused. I showed you where Paul received the gift of the Holy Spirit, but you just ignore that scripture. I am sorry, I see I have failed to show you anything, I am sure it is all on my part and I take the blame. But if anyone else here thinks they can help you I ask them to please help. Are you being serious Rinnie? First, you post a manufactured list (I know because I have seen it before, in fact… you should take a look at the link I posted yesterday… pretty much the same list) and then tell me that you doubt I will consider it because I have not considered anything that you all have said.That is untrue since obviously from prior posts, I have checked out the link you put up regarding the Messianic Jews (which is not the Jewish faith, mind you)… but I know FOR SURE you did not check out my link or you would not have bothered putting up this (almost) exact same list…
Still, I keep quiet about it because I never mind going through it again. So, I consider the first one. I put up the full context. I have not inserted my own interpretation as you should be able to see. I am just repeating what is already in the passage to show you that it can not be pertaining to jesus… and now you are going to tell me that I am only seeing what I want to see?
The truth is, you are upset because I am not seeing what YOU want me to see and I would further venture to guess that neither do you see that Jesus fits it now and that you are probably seeing the full context of it for the first time. So instead, you write me off. If you think that Jesus fits in there somewhere, then you should say how rather than to show me that your pride just took a bit of a hit.
And FYI, never worry about the last thing with me. I do not care about being right, per se… but rather, I care about the Truth setting people free of their ignorance. I had to go through it too… difference with me, is I welcomed the Truth. Pride was never an obstacle for me as far as seeking after the knowledge of God.

I hope and pray that that was your last post in response to symplynoone. As you stated, she does not agree with Christian or Jewish doctrine. She has had a “revelation” and it maters not what anyone says. Your words are falling on deaf ears. You are playing her game. You are practicaly the only one that has responded to her posts since early yesterday morning. There is no way that you will win or even make a difference. She is playing with you. Even your public response to my post will further her gambit. If you do want to respond to me, please do so privately.

That was indeed my last response to her. Thank-you. I actually quit a while back. But then she sent me a PM and begged me not to stop talking to her. I did fall for it hook line and sinker as they say. I even asked Ralph to come back and help me, (sorry Ralph) big mistake on my part. But it was because of my deep Love for our Lord Jesus Christ, and just remember this, God know’s a heart. No one can ever fool him. He knows we all had the best intentions. So thank-you to all that tried. I appreciated it. And you are correct we must all pray for her. And pray for me too hyflyer that I can do a better job next time. So, what you REALLY meant to say was that YOU would not consider. YOu could have just said so in the first place before I took the time to consider with you (I had assumed it is what we were doing).
You all really should be honest about this forum… this forum is for those who do not believe as we do but who will drop all reason and discussion and say that they see it the way we do Would at least be the honest thing to do…
