PBS special "Jesus to Christ"?

I didn’t see this but I heard about it on the radio. I think the show title was from Jesus To Christ on PBS 8-4-2004. They stated the Gospel of Matthew the part about the resurrection was added in later, and I got the impression someone else wrote it. This stuff was being stated by “Christian Experts” Did anyone see this and what’s your take on it?
 
The media is full of “Christian Experts”. We have had The Search for The Real Jesus and the Jesus Seminar, for example. In each program the so-called experts spouted their ignorance with great confidence. We also have a few of them on these boards.

Granted a lot that has been lost over the years and there have been intentional distortions, but does that make their opinion any more valid than ours? Does being a scripture scholar make one an automatic expert?
