PCA Faith, anybody out there want to talk about the faith that the Lord has Blessed us with?

I have doubts as to whether or not you’ll have much success on a Catholic forum talking among PCA members about the Presbyterian faith, and I question the motives for doing so on a Catholic forum as well. A PCA forum would be best for that. It really isn’t fair to come to a Catholic forum and begin a thread only for PCA members anyway. The posters here are primarily interested in discussing the Catholic faith that the Lord has blessed us with.PCA Faith, anybody out there want to talk about the faith that the Lord has Blessed us with?

The poll is misconceived in the first place. I don’t know any Catholic who would say works come before faith.

I agree, I’ve never known a Catholic to say that works come before faith, either. (Including priests.) This makes me even more suspicious of the motives for starting this thread. I think by reading the OP’s other posts, one can make a good educated guess as to his or her motives for coming here to CAF.The poll is misconceived in the first place. I don’t know any Catholic who would say works come before faith.

The thread is not just for PCA Christians, it is to discuss.
Why would you take it as such a threat? All of my postings have been out of Love, the Lords Word, and an interest in discussing our faith, together. I don’t see anything wrong with that.

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Romans 13 :
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,”[a] “You shall not covet,”** and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”[c] 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.**

Just to make it perfectly clear…
I think JARVET is a very intelligent and charitable individual who clearly has something worth paying attention to most of the time.
However, the whole justification argument is a western Christian dichotomy. It is one of the main reasons why Orthodox view Roman Catholics and Protestants as two side of the same coin, in other words two aspects of the very same religious tradition.
Only Protestants, and Roman Catholics (the church Protestants erupted out of), can actually care about this issue.
When you put on Christ the false dilemma resolves itself.

thank you for your apology and for your clarification.
As to the intended recipients, your original post indicated that the thread was for PCA members, did it not? As for your other posts I’ve read, many of them did appear to be hostile, especially the one that you wrote in all caps, which is the Internet equivalent of yelling. However, I must say that I don’t take your post as a threat, nor did I intend to communicate that I did. I merely perceived an argumentative or hostile tone after having read your posts. If I misinterpreted your intentions for posting here, then I do apologize in return.
As for the Presbyterian faith, I used to be a member of an EPC (Evangelical Presbyterian) church. Just because I have problems with Presbyterian doctrine, doesn’t mean I have problems with individual Presbyterian people.
I have to leave now and can’t type more, but I’ll check back later.

Having spent years in the Protestant realm, severla years now in the Catholic faith, and also having spent several years involved in Church history, I can verify that what you say about the Roman Catholic/Orthodox/Protestant debate is true. I will work on expressing a more loving tone,… my wife says the same thing at times,…lol…
I will share with you, though I do have these misleading tones at times, I have a warm, loving center about me…lol…
My first love is Christ our Lord, then ALL of His faithful.
My passionate side can come across wrong at times.
I do not enjoy the when we brothers and sisters in Christ revile, at all.
For I stand, on the rock, our Lord Jesus Christ, our cheif cornerstone, the author and finisher of our faith. Amen…
