Peace in the Middle East?

Do you think there will ever be peace in the middle east in our life times? Is Islam the problem to peace?

I don’t know. I mean it really is all relative. It’s “peaceful” now in compared to other times. If peace means no conflict and no tension, then no where has peace. But is the middle east bad right now?
 
But there are major conflicts in Syria and Yemen and Israel and Palestine are still fighting.
 
Ok. And North Korea and South Korea are still at odds and the USA and Mexico are at odds over borders… what is peace?
 
Let’s try an analogy! Ireland in the potato famine…1847…millions died, millions left.

Israeli independence 1947…in 2018, 71 years later, Palestinian refugees are still in refugee camps. By 1918, 71 years later, were Irish refugees still in refugee camps? Why not?

Will Palestinians still be in refugee camps in 2118? Just something to consider.

I think according to scripture things are gonna get bad then worse before Christ comes back…soooooo…peace may come but it will not be lasting…

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

Yeah…all the usual suspect news media outlets are being pretty quiet about it too…worrisome…add to that the China friction with their “islands” and it makes ya think…
 
We prayed about it in Mass today, our priest today is close to a person in the Ukraine. It’s in the media here in Aus, as is the tear gas firing at the refugees into Mexico and a few other events.
