Hi,
My brother Committed suicide about 7 years ago. Seems like only yesterday. He was a deeply troubled young man, who was raised in a home barren of love, wisdom, and spiritual teaching. He was a nonbeliever. I myself am only in the process of converting to Catholicism, I am not yet baptized.
I would like to offer my own spiritual penance, for the redemption and salvation of my brother’s soul. I want To offer this as a regular part of my life going forward.
I’m not that familiar with theology but I hope that will help his poor lost soul. There’s nothing more I can do for him now, maybe this will help him.
I would appreciate thoughts, advice, or recommendations on penance I could make. Of course I have to be realistic about what I offer, given I have two young kids and am sole breadwinner for my family. I want to do what I can and trust God will see that and help my poor brother’s soul be saved.
