Hi 🙂

I noticed that sometimes when I mention anything about religion or God, there are some people who get really angry/defensive and tell me to not talk about this
is it wrong to mention God around these people? should we just pray for them and hope they’ll be interested in the future? I recently had a talk with someone where they were annoyed that I think God’s existence is a fact, and not just my belief
this person believes in God too, but doesn’t go to church. I feel like I sometimes offend people with what I say, should I stay silent? what is more charitable, what would God want us to do? đŸ€·

Oh, those poor souls have been conditioned by the Marxist media and educational system in this county. They bought into a lie. Pray for them. There are also others who knowingly hate what is good (God, etc.), and rail against it because they know they’re living sinful lives, and they don’t want to be reminded that on day they’ll have to answer for all their sins.

On the other hand, keep in mind what Pope John Paul II said about these things. He said we shouldn’t try to correct every error out there, because we’d never finish. But we what we should do is teach Christ’s truths as expressed by His Church, the Catholic Church. Because when we do, God’s grace accompanies that truth, and when that person is going to need that grace for conversion, it’ll be there. 🙂

Live the faith and when you HAVE to, use words.

😉

Best advice anyone has ever given, in my opinion.

Been there, done that. Lived both sides.

Got confrontational.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have some rules, regulations and boundaries in life designed to keep a soul safe and free of sin.

Their gods - god the divine, god the eternal diety, the god/goddess of the Earth, god the internal spirit of being - have no rules, no right from wrong, no boundaries.

Oddly, once there mentally, men become the oppressors.

Which, leaves these people mentally more available to reject Church, to reject archeological history, historical writings, to reject Christ, and to accept open practices of all forms of sexuality, abortion, etc.

And then they become egotistical and militantly protective of their errors.

I think people get upset about bringing religion into publis discussion for three reasons:
  1. If it’s in the form of an argument for, or against, a subject there is no arguing it. It’s a matter of faith so no one is going to feel they can be proven right or wrong. And, not everyone is one the same page so there is no “square one” to base any debate upon.
  2. They feel they are being evangelized against their will
  3. The old “don’t discuss religion or politics” is not always poor advice if one is looking to avoid arguments and hurt feelings.

suggested response:
“Friend, I understand that not everyone shares my beliefs. You are welcome to believe or disbelieve as you wish. I am only speaking from my own heart. If I didn’t do so, I would be dishonest.”

“You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.”

I mention God, Jesus and Our Lady whenever I think I need to which is very often regardless
of the company I am in. Surely that is what Jesus told us to do to go out and spread his word. If I do get the occasional remark usually from an atheist I remind them in a kindly way that in all probability sometime in their life they will turn to God even if its not until they’re on their deathbed.
I also at times get the odd strange look from people when I make the sign of the cross whenever I see a funeral courtége in the street. :signofcross:

I think if you would listen to me,or even okay, you see do not worry for such things like these God alone is unchanged all these will be passing, what I see is you are “witnessing and fear”
I have found it to be not precisely but the word of God comes to examples of what others are being like.Do everything in Your part to live in well peace with all others, and always show the example of Christ Jesus, let nothing bring you down, let nothing bother you,or disturb, turn to Our Lady of Guadalupe she loves and is waiting for you, truly, not much I guess has changed over 2000 years am I right? haha pray and also pray for others and for me but worst of all do not be afraid.! Do not pray.
From all desires and fears Jesus deliver us

No I didn’t mean in my last sentence do not pray its just a little mistake,I’m sorry do not take as so

And the rejection of others will only make you stronger God alone can always comfort you, you must thank God these such as these things which can only bring you closer to him,am I right? LOOk or take Jesus as an example of suffering
