I have, in a pamphlet and enclosed in a piece of tape, a relic that touched a first class relic of the Holy Cross of Jesus that I got from Church. I started researching relics and then I thought I wonder if people are selling these on Ebay! And sure enough there it was a first class relic on Ebay for $2500! I thought how cheap they priced anything of our Lords but I thought we couldn’t sell sacred items so I googled “can you sell relics?” and sure enough Canon law stated no! So I copied and pasted information so that I could message everyone of those sellers! This was my good deed for the day, the baby was napping and I was upset! I logged in to my account on Ebay and couldn’t remember my password. I tried four times! and each time it was the wrong password, then I had to put in some Captcha code and I gave up frustrated. I was so upset but it’s a little funny to me now.
Anyway, the state of the world where people will sell a first class relic, of course some can be fake , can anyone have a real one I wonder.

Most of those sellers get around it by saying they are selling the reliquary, and the relic itself is a “free gift”.

Also, there is a high risk of getting a fake/forged relic on Ebay unless you know absolutely exactly what you are seeking (for example, a 100-year-old holy card with a 3rd class relic attached with the seal; these usually sell for only a few dollars which is the cost of the card).
