Hi,

I wanted to get some advice.

I have friends or people in my life that have occasionally God’s name in vain, irrelevantly, or flippantly (e.g. “For freak’s sake” or the profane version).

I immediately am very discomforted and pray afterwards.

How should I handle my relationships with these people?

I do not want to make a scene but at the same time I would like to make it known that I don’t want to hear it.

I was mulling over if I should say “language!” or something, after hearing them say such words, so that they may stop or check themselves.

I would not say “language.” That makes you sound like the language police.
You might say, “when you use God’s name with irreverence, I feel uncomfortable.,” or maybe “I don’t like to hear language like that,” Or you could just make the sign of the cross so they know you’re not on board with their behavior.
