Prayer for the Pope

Lord Jesus,
shelter our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI,
under the protection of Thy Sacred Heart.
Be Thou his light, his strength, and his consolation."

O God, the Pastor and Ruler of all the faithful,
look down, in Your mercy,
upon Your servant Pope Benedict XVI,
whom You have appointed to preside over Your Church;
and grant, we beseech You, that both by word and example, he may edify all those under his charge;
so that with the flock entrusted to him, he may arrive at length unto life everlasting.
Through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

The First Luminous Mystery: The Baptism of Jesus

Jesus descended into the waters to be baptized by John. He took up the challenge of His Father. He knew He would suffer on behalf of us and His suffering would lead to the forgiveness of sins. He knew He was king but His Throne was to be a cross.

We pray that our priests will imitate Our Lord’s humility as they do their priestly duties by accepting their challenges from God.

We pray for any CAF members who are thinking of becoming priests or consecrated brothers or sisters

We pray for more vocations.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name! Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen!
