Just wondering. Could some sins be grave for some and not for all people?
e.g. Gambling. The Church says gambling is not necessarily a sin but it can be grave sin if you’re wagering money at the expense of your ability to support yourself and your family with life essentials. However if someone is inclined to spends day after day at the casino then even if they are not necessarily wagering enough to prevent themselves from supporting their family - it feels like they open themselves up to their own near occasion of sin (which is grave if done so deliberately) for things like omission where they are using the money for selfish purposes instead of helping others, or deliberately feeding into a gambling problem if they have one, or idleness - using their time at the casino instead of for more productive purposes? Etc.
