Because the Lord told me to in a private revelation when praying before the Blessed Sacrament. In short I asked the Lord how he wanted me to teach my children to recieve Him because the Pope was showing us at the Feast of Corpus Christy in 2008 to present that that is the way we should recieve our Lord yet our local Bishop was having all the children taught to recieve in the hand standing and reception of our Lord kneeling was not being in union with him and the Dioceses and possibly with the USCCB. I litterly heard a voice say “What are you doing now.” after a short pause and questioning whether what really just happen, happen. I look up humbly and asked “You answer me with a question” Then I felt like I recieved a gentle hug and heard the same words again. “What are you doing now.” I was kneeling so from that point on I have only recieved kneeling and on the tongue and my children only recieve kneeling and on the tongue. Since the only place in my Dioceses where this is the norm is at a parish that celebrates the TLM that is where we now attend mass. Kneeling to recieve our Lord at my local parish was becoming to much of a point of contraversy. It was a large parish, we were the only family that did it and it was very much frowned on by the adminstration,head of Catholic Formation and assistant priests. Letters started to appear on the bulletin boards and in the bulletin about the proper postures for reception of Communion in the Diocese and such. Considering we where the only family that was doing it I figured it was directed at us. The parish priest told me in a private conference about the revelation that we were free to do it but I don’t think that memo left his office. We are very happy where we are at and all of like minded faith and my old parish is doing just fine doing what they are doing so all is well.
