Peter was never in Rome...?

Except he himself says so in the Bible he was in Rome, that is what the word Babylon meant in the context of 1 Peter. 1 Peter 5:13

Peter’s lack of education, which this person cites, doesn’t matter in view of Scripture telling us, and our faith confirming, that the Apostles, most of whom were uneducated, were able to travel to foreign lands and communicate the Gospel to the inhabitants.

Also remember that this is one academic’s opinion - you can likely find many other academics, even those who aren’t believers/ aren’t Catholic, who disagree with her opinion.
