I'm sorry, but I can't defend this pope or the last in permitting these scandals from happening at Catholic universities like this one. I'm sure they're aware of what ND has been doing, especially in this millennium. Anyway. Please sign this petition as if they'll care. They'll know we do.
Thanks for the link, i signed!

**Perhaps the Pope is smarter than me & you? Maybe he is allowing these people to expose their false beliefs as a teaching point to me, you & everyone who is honestly open to the Truth! Hopefully we will pay attention & learn from the Truth!!!

If the Pope needs us to defend him, then we are in a world of hurt!

We are not called to have all the answers. We are only called to Love Jesus Christ & have Faith in His chosen leaders. Jesus will take care of the rest!!!**

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Maybe he is allowing these people to expose their false beliefs as a teaching point to me, you & everyone who is honestly open to the Truth! It’s too dangerous a game. When the SSPX archbishop did an illicit ordination and when bishops tried to ordain women as priests, they were rightly excommunicated. These people at ND are involved in scandals that can affect souls and they’ve done it more than once. It’s been obvious for more than a decade. Letting evil go on, when you can do something directly about it, especially as the violater’s superior, is being an accessory to the crime. You can’t let it go on while watching and then later say you can put the characters out of commission even moreso once they’ve done their acts. That’s what needs apologizing for by him the most (the bishops, including abortion protesting ones, have some answering to do for social leftists in positions of influence in Catholic schools), as an epidemic of cafeteria Catholicism actually came from the world-approved education and equal opportunity act hiring that went on since the '60s, but only we get to outcry about wrongs done when it involves Catholics. The others have their own floors to clean.

Do our popes think they’re smarter than the popes that got business done?

I believe homosexuals should be treated with compassion, but homosexuality should never be openly promoted as a viable lifestyle no matter how much Hollywood and the mainstream media pressure Catholics (and others) to accept this behavior as normal.

Thank you Angela (and I do, as I treat all kinds of people as equals–well, little kids need things simplified, but you know what I mean) and you’re welcome lil_flower_luv!

Can you post a petition supporting this pro homosexuality week that I can sign? 😉

I’m a little in the dark on this. What happened here that the petition mentions:

“You see, while the 88 pro-lifers who peacefully prayed on campus during the 2009 commencement fiasco still face charges and possible jail time, the homosexual movement is welcomed. I don’t know about you, but it literally makes my stomach turn.”

It’s one thing to condemn hatred - murdering someone for their sins is never welcome. At the same time it’s a curious thing to spend a week on when minds, hearts and funding can be directed to wars, genocide, starvation, famine, and myriad other problems. I truly wonder if gay rights issues are a luxury of wealth nations whose citizens are fed enough to not clamor for the spotlight.

Dear AngelaB39,

I wholeheartedly concur, my sentiments entirely.

Today the increasinng prevalence and acceptance of homosexual perversion, complacently regarded by the avante-garde as an alternative variant, is a dreadful mark of God’s indignation upon a civilisation which now overtly glories in its post-Christian character.

Warmest good wishes,

Portrait

PS A cordial welcome to CAF.

Here is the Notre Dame link:
newsinfo.nd.edu/news/15173/

But Notre Dame is not controlled by the pope. Nor even by the local bishop.

Read “After the Ball” It has a plan for how they’ll present themselves as no different than the rest of us or make them seem likable–not the jerky types like Rosie O’ Donnell. Not all are like her and are militant, but they exist. We need to see this.

First off, Notre Dame has not ever condoned homosexual behavior. They won’t put sexual orientation in their non-discrimination clause nor will they allow a student run gay-alliance, unlike many other Catholic universities.

This week is a stand against hatred week. The university does not condone the actions but still finds value in the human persons that are homosexual, just as Christ would have done. There is nothing going on this week that is sponsored by the University of Notre Dame that is against the Church’s teaching of homosexuality. That I am sure.

Very Neville Chamberlain of them and you. It’s not about no hatred of homosexuals. It’s very related to plays like the Vagina Monologues. They gave an honorary law degree to a corrupt law scholar and ignored the bishop. It’s all connected. Wake up! The Masonic trojan horse of misguided tolerance has been in the city for a while, and its soldiers have been running the city for some time, but there’s still hope for ND if the people wake up there or get their heads out of the sand and demand true Catholic leadership from the leaders or new leaders, etc.
