Christ chastised some people for not knowing the signs of the times. I’m just trying to keep abreast. Lightening has struck St. Peter’s copula. I know there are signs.

Dear EliRotello,

While I agree that what you mention is interesting, it is far from conclusive. Moreover, I believe there is a forum rule against promoting unapproved prophecies and revelations.

FYI, every Catholic is not Roman.
Precisely. The various Eastern and Oriental Catholic Churches, while in full communion with Rome, are not “Roman”. I personally never use the term “the Roman Church” in reference to the global Church. Properly speaking, the “Roman Church” is the local particular Church in Rome: that is, the Diocese of Rome / the Holy See. The global particular Church comprising all those dioceses that worship according to the Roman Rite and the other Western Rites (Ambrosian, Mozarabic, etc.) is properly the Latin Church. I worship according to the Roman Rite, but I am a Latin Catholic, not a Roman. My particular Church is the Archdiocese of Vancouver, not the Diocese of Rome.

All those who thought they knew the “signs of the times” or that it was the end times, be they Catholic, Protestant or Adventist, had one thing in common.

They were wrong.

This is the case here too.

Yes, there have been various eras in Church history in which various groups have been completely convinced that we were living in the “end times”…the turn of the first millennium was one (year 1000), the Reformation era was another, the 19th and 20th centuries were another (particularly in North America). I personally hope that the Church has an opportunity to spread to the stars…I want to see the Gospel preached in every corner of this vast galaxy whether there is other life out there or not. 😃

Thanks for posting this. And what about Jupiter?
Fifth planet from the sun and largest planet. It’s influence is gravitational, not astrological.

FYI - I remember Pope John Paul and Pope Benedict also being called the last pope.

Dear Porthos,

You are absolutely correct.

I deplore the tendency among some Catholics to try and make calculations about the end of the world. I have a feeling that many have falsely become fixated on the year 2017 because it is the centenary of the apparitions of Our Blessed Mother at Fatima, and because there is a lot of paranoid nonsense written about a “Third Secret” that the Church keeps locked up in a Very Secret Place - presumably the same Secret Place where Maria Monk had her babies and Alberto Rivera received his secret agent’s training. (Does anyone remember the execrable novel of that name by Steve Berry, which had a minor succes de scandale some years ago? ;))

Every Pope is Roman, every Catholic is Roman. We are on the final Pope according to the Prophecy of the Popes of St. Malachy…but one more thing…

There may be a sign in the heavens, on September 23rd, 2017. Found in Apocalypse 12:1 - taken from the Douay Rheims: 1. And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars: [2] And being with child, she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered.

On September 23rd, 2017, the constellation Virgo will be with Leo Above her. In Leo there are 9 stars. Between Leo and Virgo will be mercury, mars and Venus, which will be 12 stars crowned on (just above) Virgo. At virgos feet will be the moon, and just below the moon will be Serpens, the snake constellation. She, Virgo, will also have at her left shoulder, on her back, the Sun, sometime on September 23rd, which will be Virgo, clothed with the sun, as Apoc. 12:1 states, also the 12 stars, and the moon at her feet, with Serpens, which coincides with Catholic traditional artwork depicting the Virgin. According to astronomers, this is the only time during the time of Christ, that this has happened, we glean. One more thing… Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system appears just below the torso of Virgo, right were a child would be delivered, and sometime around the 23rd, passes in her torso and out of her torso, the king planet, Jupiter, the biggest planet. How very symbolic, no?
What about Petrus? Is this not the name Peter? Where does that fit in this narrative?
