Living with a pet, feel free to talk about your home buddy here. This is my Furball his name is Copper and he is a Pomeranian. He enjoys walking down the neighborhood with a dog collar on – we usually roam around the neighborhood early in the morning.

I often tell my students that God gave us domesticated animals so that we may learn now to love and to let go. Having a pet prepares us for the death of our loved ones in a way.
So many people fear death, grieve unceasingly, and seem to forget the good times.
Pet help us in innumerable ways.
They are truly a gift.
Here’s a picture of Pope Benedict and some kittens.

The black one looks like “Bless me, Father. For I have sinned. I dwank alll de milk and didn’t share with my brudder.”

The little gray and white looks like “I can pway too. Pweeze teach me. I is weddy.”"

They may not win the prize for Most Cuddly Pet, but I’ll bet they win the Longevity Award. I’ve had these two desert tortoises in my back yard, the closest one for 37 years, and the one behind him for 46 years!

Hello.

I love turtles. How can you tell when the turtles have grown?

To me, they don’t look like they have grown much at all. I should have measured them way back when I got them to compare with now, but I never thought of it.

Happy birthday!

What do you feed your turtles, or do I want to know? If you feed them something cute, alive and furry, I don’t want to know.

What are their names?

Ruby says, “Hi”.

Desert tortoises, unlike aquatic turtles, are vegetarians. They are hibernating now, but when they wake up in a few weeks they will eat the Spring grass. I feed mine mostly different types of lettuce, and sometimes fruit like strawberries. They like certain flowers too, especially red hibiscus.

They walk around… a lot. They eat. When I go into the yard, they walk up to me, presumably hoping I have brought them food. They don’t require a lot of attention, but they are also not particularly affectionate.

Hi Chris,

I love to look at them, and I think that they are awesome!

I would think that they would make a great pet, too. 😀 ❤️

Baby, my gorgeous, lovable Maine Coon. He is my baby, but Baby is big! More than 36" from the tip of his nose to the tip of his fully-furred tail. He is phenomenal. He can talk, tell time, and knows so much. Most of all, he loves his family, and his family loves him!

All the pet photos are photos of little dolls!

Holy cow! You might have to make arrangements for someone to take care of them after you’re gone! 😮

Various cats of ours:
Some were born on the deck, Chanel (indoor kitty) is the first one
More pics in a bit
