It is about time to register for spring quarter at my university and I want to take a class called “philosophy and atheism.” The course discription says it is a defense of this position, which means that essentially the professor will attempt to disprove the existance of God. Do you that it is prudent to take this class? I know that the Truth will tump anything that this guy has to say, but i’m still a little weary to sign up for it (mostly becuase I don’t want to get a bad grade because I disagreed with this guy)

Dear St.,
Code:
If this is a secular college, I'd avoid the class like the plague. You are likely to get into a position where your grade will depend on regurgitating back (and agreeing with) the professor's arguments. This person is probably on an antiGod tirade and you'd be a nice scalp on his belt. The chances that you'll convert him or her are just about zero.

Also, the more you entertain certain thoughts and speculations, the more you are likely to begin accepting them. You become what you study, to some extent. Concentrate on classes which will be directly useful to your career and vocation. This class is liable to just be a source of stress.
