Friedrich Nietzsche: He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.
Caught yourself being monstrous lately? :hmmm: 😃 How do you think this monster business works?

By using the same tools that the monster uses we become the monster? I may hide under their beds and growl at small children in the middle of the night, for example, in order to defeat the monsters that hide under their beds and growl at small children in the middle of the night.

I remember C.S. Lewis writing that God never seemed more unreal to him than when he had just made some great apologetics point in a debate with an unbeliever.

I identify with that. I hardly ever feel worse than right after I’ve won an argument.

I’ve been a monster lately…losing my temper and saying exactly what I’m thinking! I feel terrible afterwards.
