Thanks in advance. I’ve been a practicing Catholic for my whole life. And I know that intimacy with your partner outside the context of marriage is wrong. But that being said I have been slipping up more and more.
I am a female in my mid-20’s, I’ve struggled with pornography and masturbation since high school. The man I am currently dating has supported me in waiting until marriage but we seem to be toeing the line every chance that we get. I’ve noticed I’m feeling less guilty each time we get too physical and I don’t want us to constantly be fantasizing about each other in that way. I am Catholic, he is Lutheran, we are doing long distance.
Is there anything we can read to help us in this journey of chastity (is Theology of the Body something we could both read)? Is there a good thread that would be useful? Helpful tips or good barriers to put in place?
