I’m taking over as ministry coordinator of our parish mom’s group in 2 days. I don’t actually know what I’m doing so I’m falling back on a lot of the things I used to do as a teacher. One of my traditions was to assign patron saints for each class. It was public school, they didn’t know about their patrons, but I invoked them often.
Our group has patrons, Our Lady and to some degree St. Anne. I thought it might be nice to build a litany of saints my team can ask for help at the beginning of each leadership meeting this year. I’ll ask people to choose their own, but thinking of which saints would be good friends to each job is sort of fun, so I thought I’d ask and see who you would pick.

- For the ministry for the year. It is a year of transition with a lot of new leaders. All around parish giving and attendance is down on the heels of the scandal, so our budget will be much less. A lot of the events and activities the group did previously will need to change and some will not happen.
- For the spiritual coordinator who arranges that we have access to confession during our monthly meetings and arranges the silent retreat.
- For the communications coordinator who sends invitations, puts things in the bulletin and generally is our voice.
- For the finance coordinator who handles dues and our budget.
- For the service coordinator who finds and facilitates service projects that busy moms can still do or that children can be involved with.
- For the leader of our monthly Gospel reflections.
- For the meal train coordinator who sets up the meals when someone is ill or has a baby.
- For the hostess coordinator who helps anyone who hosts a playdate or mom’s night out
- For the membership coordinator who adds people to groups and lists and welcomes new members.
- For the small group coordinator who arranges the small groups and reminds us to keep them alive in groupchats.
- For the leader of the monthly rosary.
- For our librarian.
