Hello!

I’m not sure if this is the best place for this post, but I’m not exactly sure which Forum it would belong. Since this is the one I post on most often, I thought I’d give it a shot here!

I am so incredibly blessed to be going on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in November!!! I have never been outside this country (except for Canada which is only 30 minutes away from where I live), and I’m not the best traveler, but I’m putting this in God’s hands and trusting that He is leading me on a journey that will transform bringing me closer to Him.

Anyway … the reason for my post is to ask if anyone has any advice/tips/thoughts about the Holy Land - especially if anyone has traveled there before. I am going with a group of about 40 other people - most of whom have also never been to the Holy Land before.

I really have no idea what to expect, so if anyone has words of wisdom that he/she would like to share, I would very much look forward to hearing about anything!

Thank you so much - in advance!!! 🙂 Have a beautiful rest of your day!!

God bless,
Michele

So happy for you!

I went in summer of 2009.

If you live half an hour’s drive from Canada, the climate will be much warmer than you are used to. (It is comparable to mine, and I live ten minutes from Mexico :)). Consider getting a canteen with a filter neck (so you can fill it most places) and so keep your body hydrated. Bottled water is available for purchase, but it adds up.

You will be doing a lot of walking, so train your body! Do so starting now, since you have warm weather.

Also prepare your mind by boning up on Scripture.

Bon voyage and ICXC NIKA! Walking your feet where He walked His is an experience to be cherished.
