Any Floys fans out there? If so, whats your favorite album or song?
 
Hate to be so Cliche’ and obvious but “another brick in the wall” thats a classic! Dark Side of the Moon! Great album!
 
My favorite album by them is Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here. I think the best thing about that band has got to be the album artwork!

Favorite Songs (if I had to choose): TIme (DSM), Mother (The Wall)

I’ve always had a soft spot for Animals, but that’s probably because I liked to turn the oinking up really loud!

I agree that the album artwork was great. I still keep the old vinyl albums around for nastalgia sake. They really confused my kids when they were small. They thought they were huge CDs.

I still think that the vinyl sounds better than CDs. And you sure got more for your money in terms of liner art, notes, etc. But I’m an old fart… 😉

Favorite albums: DSOTM - The Wall
Favorite song: Us and Them - Comfortably Numb - Learning to Fly
 
My fav songs are *Dirty Woman *andthe live version of Wish You Were Here from Pulse.
 
My favorite is The Wall, but Dark Side of the Moon is an extremely close second.

I think my favorite song is Wish You Were Here.

Good thread! My favorite album is Animals, favorite song is Dogs. First encountered it as a kid on WKRP (if anyone remembers the episode in question) 😃
 
I like all of the stuff already mentioned but I also really liked Meddle. Echoes is great. This is the album where they really began to find the classic Pink Floyd sound.

I’ve always liked Learning to Fly, Comfortably Numb and Another Brick in the Wall.

😃 Who would have known that I would find fellow Pink Floyd fans on the Catholic Answers Forum.
 
I’m a Floyd fan too. 🙂 Dark Side of the Moon is my favorite albumn, but Wish You Were Here is my favorite song. I was never a huge fan of The Wall though. We saw them in Detroit on their last tour - amazing concert!
 
I don’t want to sound hardcore, snobbish, or elitist, but although I am a firm Pink Floyd fan and definitely enjoy DSM and The Wall, I am more of a fan of the Syd Barrett-led Pink Floyd.

Piper At The Gates of Dawn, with “Astronomy Domine” and “Bike,” is a classical first album. As well, the singles “Arnold Lane” and “See Emily Play” are perfection.

It is almost sad to see Syd’s meltdown, in full swing by the time the *A Saucerful of Secrets * album came out. Yet in the brief time he led the band, they made some outstanding music. Definitely worth remembering with fondness.
 
I do’t have any of their albums, but I’m going to dub two of my aunt’s. But I love the songs “Wish You Were Here”, “Hey You” and “Young Lust”. The movie “The Wall” is pretty cool, even if you can’t understand what’s going on.

I saw them in concert about ten years ago…Yikes…has it been that long…and I’m a young’en (32 yo)…
