Can an orthodox Catholic attend a baptism conducted by a Pius X priest, in good conscience?

No I don’t think you can.

Is the person or the parents of the person being baptized catholic? If so then the SSPX priest has no jurisdiction. This would be a valid but illict baptism and I do not think you should give your support.

I thought the only two sacraments SSPX priests lacked jurisdiction for were marriages and confession.

If in doubt, sling it out. I would be troubled in conscience too. My instinct would be not to go, but I don’t know the situation in your diocese. Maybe these people have been offered no pastoral provision.

Hello,

I’m sorry that I don’t have the exact quote available right now BIY John Paul II said that we were to have nothing to do with th SSPX.

I havr had alot of dealings with them, and find them to be ANTI POPE!

Stay away from the SSPX they are excommunicated.

I think it is an evil movement.

John
