Places to go for healing

Hi,

Anyone know a monastery or other catholic place where traumatized people can stay and heal? I have complex PTSD from being abused as a child and youth, and I had been medically misdiagnosed, and became ill for many years. When I was weaning off medications my family started to really mistreat me, and . . . I’ve been in a form of estrangement ever since while dealing with the loss of many years, and the internal affects of being traumatized . There’s lots more, but that should be enough if anyone knows of such a place. I’m a 25 year old man, and I’ve received so much healing, but I’m not financially well off as I only started life 4 months ago or so, and I work so many hours and I’m still in the same small town where I had been badly wounded. I am discerning what to do and where I can go find intense healing.

I don’t know where you live or how it works in other countries, but at least in my country almost all the monasteries have someone living with them like you’re describing at any given time. Here all you need to do is contact them, usually they’ll have an email address.
