From Facebook post by a friend:
“Not only will you find that YouTube has removed this video, but if you search “Plandemic” on YouTube you will now find instead well over a dozen videos supposedly debunking Plandemic, some obviously mocking it.
… the first thing I did was google Dr. Judy Mikovits’s name to see if she was who they said she was, an accomplished scientist… I wish I saved that Wikipedia article in Evernote because I think it’s been drastically changed.” (End)
Any thoughts? I realize a crisis brings out conspiracy theories, but so does censorship.

Read the Chicago Times article, type in Chicago times pandemic video. It’s just another conspiracy theory.

Whether or not the video is conspiracy theory, silly nonsense, true, false or something in between is pointless. While YouTube is a private company and can therefore make any rules it wants with regards to what types of videos it wants or does not want to show, provided it does not violate the law, what is very telling is the systematic removal of the types of videos it removes.

They have a long history of removing videos that do not align with their progressive narrative, especially when their TOS allow these types of videos. If YouTube disagrees with your view, go elsewhere.

Some conspiracies are completely plausible, however, yeah, I’m with you on this, especially right now. I like what Fr. Longenecker says about conspiracies (he himself is interested in them), something along the lines of “so what if there is a conspiracy? What are you going to do about it”? I think that is a good point. You can’t really do anything if there is a conspiracy, so why worry about? They can be interesting, but they can also be a waste of your time. Like the people who believe Jesus is a conspiracy (yep).

I agree with you Adam. If this is or is not a conspiracy, ultimately it doesn’t matter because you or I cannot do much about it. About all we can do is ensure that we do our individual part and abide by our laws, moral codes and be truthful Christians, and do our best to impart those values to our families, and our neighbors, so they are do what is right.

So, let’s say it was a conspiracy for the sake of discussion. What many people feel is happening (e.g.: overly draconian measures that do not align with the risks, etc., abuses of power, centralizing of control, removals of liberty), is where one would focus, regardless of intent. So for example, if was not a conspiracy and people were using it to further an agenda, again, that is the important part.

Well, if the Chicago Times is anything like the LA times or NYT, or my local newspaper, then this is just a suggestion to read fake news.

But I haven’t read the Chicago times in a while, so I could be wrong.

I would feel a lot safer if the giant media corporations were broken up into many smaller companies.

Just as a defense of private property, it’s not censorship when a private site chooses to remove a video. They have the right to.

Especially when they explicitly said they were going to remove any videos that try to “debunk” or advise against WHO and CDC recommendations.

Yep, and they laid their rules out pretty straight forward.

I’m surprised why others are surprised it was pulled.

That’s an option. As opposed to crying censorship when they exercise their right over their property.

To be clear, and I don’t think you were directing that at me, but I am fully supportive of their right to do with what they will, the videos on their servers. However, I think they are clearly showing they don’t really care about dissenting views and free speech and open ideas.

No it was not directed at you. It just irks me when people who supposedly honor property rights cry foul over people exercising their property rights.

The best thing to do is to STOP using YouTube.
Me personally? No chance. I use it all the time.
However, I think they are clearly showing they don’t really care about dissenting views and free speech and open ideas.
Disagree on this one. They don’t want crack-pots out there making videos telling people to ignore the WHO and CDC. (also…that’s not what free speech means, you can’t just run around saying whatever you want. It means the government can’t shut you up.).
