I just saw our local news and they are doing a teleton to raise money for the family. I almost cried for they had the mother of the 24 yr. old, daughter (Janise Woodard) who died, talking about her daughter and grandson (Joseph Woodard 6 months old). They both died and the mother talked so beautifully about Janise and said she wishes she could trade places with her so that she could be here on earth with her husband and other child a girl. The mother is a woman of faith and asked us the public to please keep her and her family in prayer. She said that the Lord is the one giving her strength daily to deal with this. I know the husband was very distraught when he found out he lost his wife and child. He does have one child, a little girl who spent the night at family or friends, not sure which.
They talked about the other family and said no funeral arrangements have been made for the 4 yr. old, Gabriela, for her parents are in critical condition still in our hospitals. Please keep them in prayer also. Their son Daniel Happy, the 10 yr. old, is in critical condition. He is at the Shriner Hospital in Cincinnati. The spokesperson said that the boy is so swollen that he is twice his size. They scraped his skin off today and has been heavily sedated for he already has had surgeries and will continue to need surgeries. The shriners will pay all the medical bills to and from the hospital and the care itself until he is 24 yr. old. That poor boy needs many prayers. The spokesperson said, that he will need many surgeries and still has a long road ahead of him. I do know that when the off duty firefighter pulled him out of the burning house and went in to save the sister, the boy was left on the sidewalk with hardly no skin on him according to neighbors. The boy did give a thumbsup to one of the paramedics. From what I could tell from a poor photo of him, he was a boyscout. He has to be a courageous boy to give a thumbsup.
A tragic story indeed. I hope his parents make it and that he makes it for he is not out of danger yet.
