Do the research. A very few number were true pedophiles. In fact the Priest population of pedophiles is less than the general public,

The real issue is that of homosexuality. The vast number of cases were of pederasty which is sex with post pubescent males.

2perfection, The church has always been pro-life but I fail to see what the sexual abuse scandal has to do with our topic unless this is a cheap diversionary tactic. The fact that bishops and priests failed to protect the innocence of some entrusted to their care does not mean that the Catholic Church ever promoted pedophilia/pederasty/or homosexuality as a teaching. To the contrary, all, without exclusion, are called to holiness. Just because one is ordained a priest doesn’t mean he automatically has a free ticket to heaven. The clergy are subject to the same foibles, weaknesses and temptations as are the laity. While they should be held accountable for their crimes, nevertheless, at the end of the day, forgiveness needs to be extended to all sinners even if that sinner wears a collar.

All that aside, the fact still remains that the core doctrine and raison d’etre of Planned Parenthood is to exploit the most vulnerable section of society: our women and children. They have a one size fits all solution and that is death. I ask you what choice is that?

Furthermore, PP is sheltering sex abusers as surely as the Catholic Church did. Seems to me, the pot is calling the kettle black.

the topic is planned parenthood covering up child rape. Seems to me I have seen that observation of ‘pot kettle black’ runs the wrong way in your church.

BTW, are you saying planned parenthood is promoting peadophilia? it seemed implicit.

2Perfection. Planned Parenthood is promoting sin and profiting from sin. Did you take the time to read the article by Judie Brown, president of the American Life League?
Kline writes, “only abortion clinics hold themselves out as above the law and make the extraordinary argument that the constitution protects the privacy of the rapist.” Kline accuses abortion mills of being hypocritical about keeping their records private when it can be shown that such clinics have used the patient records for fundraising purposes. Kline is the state attorney general of Kansas fighting to track down and lay criminal charges against the sexual predators of children. PP is facilitating the criminal activity of these pedophiles because abortion destroys the evidence and not satisfied with that they are destroying the paper trail too.

Whereas the Catholic Church has an official policy to cooperate in criminal investigations NARAL is clearly obstructing justice.

As for the pot calling the kettle black you’re right; that expression is open to misinterpretation. The Catholic Church welcomes sinners with open arms so that she may heal them and show them how to live a life pleasing to God. Unfortunately, some have ensconced themselves in the church as wolves in sheep’s clothing. Bishops have failed to shepherd and protect their flocks. That said the difference is PP welcomes sinners, encourages, enables them and doesn’t want them to change because sin is big business. The Catholic Church, on the other hand, calls us to be saints.
