SAN FRANCISCO, April 17, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Planned Parenthood Golden Gate (PPGG) has just released a “Safe is Sexy” television ad that features a young couple being interrupted from having unprotected sex by their Guardian Angels. The ad, which will appear on MTV, VH1 and FX, shows a sloppy-looking male angel eating popcorn at the head of the bed watching in delight. Then his female counterpart appears imploring him to do something. He accesses a TV remote and rewinds the scene of the couple in bed. This time the woman asks her male partner if he has any protection, to which he exclaims, “Yeah, of course.” She responds, “Amen!”

Planned Parenthood never ceases to disgust me!

Given the positions that organization takes, Planned Parenthood should change its name. It doesn’t promote parenthood at all.

I agree. My mom calls it “Planned UNparenthood.”

The depths that they will sink to never cease to amaze me. Just when I thought they had hit rock bottom, they are now starting to dig! So very sad.😦

The commercial is absolutely shameless… they’re an organization of death.

How dare they advocate anything non Catholic!
Your sarcasm shows little wisdom. There are many non-Catholics who are offended by the acts of fornication advocated by Planned Parenthood. All Christian religions are against fornication, as are Jews and Muslims.

So yes, it mocks religion.

That. Is. Dumb.
But it really doesn’t suprise me these days.

The same way religion mocks over veiwpoints and beliefs. What are you pointing out here?

Catholicism does not mock other viewpoints, but She does claim to hold the Truth. That is a very bold claim; there is only one truth.

The question is: Is She right?
When I looked over my experience and my life and I compared that with the Gospels and the Catechism of the Catholic Church I concluded “yes”

It is a very BIG truth and admits that other viepoints may have pieces of the truth, that God wrote the truth in all of us as surely as the cross draws all men to Him.

It is a very big question and in humility, truth and the best way to humility is in prayer I think.

May God bless you and I on our respective journeys.

So you feel that your faith/belief’s being mocked and you thought you’d jump onto this thread with sarcasm?

Does this even things out?

I’m not Catholic and I’m shocked by the OP’s story.

Whilst condoms may prevent pregnancy they don’t necessarily prevent STD’s (which are not sexy)

I recall my own school sex educational classes never mentioned this fact.

Condoms have a 15% failure rate.

Everybody would probably be better off if we calmly accepted that all religions can be mocked. In the past people killed each other over religous differences. Mockery is mild in comparison.
