Planned Parenthood Tries to Force Raped Teen to Have Abortion

Kennewick, WA – On the heels of a slate of new videos showing Planned Parenthood centers in three states and Washington, D.C. assisting alleged sex traffickers in getting abortions for underage girls, a new report shows problems at a Washington state abortion business.

A newly-uncovered police report concerning a September 2008 incident reveals staff at a Kennewick, Washington Planned Parenthood doing everything possible to arrange an abortion for a 14-year-old girl who had been a victim of statutory rape by a 20-year-old man. The staff also try to keep the young girl at the Planned Parenthood center against her father’s will.

And yet there are still those who will say that PP is a good thing that only has the woman’s/girls best interest at heart.

Simply DISGUESTING!!! I only hope for the best of the young mother.

sounds like the type of creeps in this state and the rest of the usa will know more about whats going on here, than the snickering cell phone carrying lady gaga worshiping people of seattle or most the state

yea, this is totally pro-“choice”
Yeah exactly, totally “choice.” This girl is “choosing” to be kept in that place, and its her father’s “choice” to be kept apart from her against his will. I know what you mean my friend. Its not a choice at all. These people at PP are so against God but they want to play god themselves in other innocent people’s lives and controll them.
That poor girl. I hope she’s doing ok. 😦

They try to force EVERYONE in their clinics into having an abortion.

Rape, single teen, college girl, married woman with three kids, its all the same to those people. One abortion = $$$$$ They dont’ care who’s baby.

Disclaimer: I am pro-life. Abortion=bad. Yada yada.

With that said, this article should be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. Just looking at LifeNews.com, it seems that they hire anyone with a 6th grader’s level of journalism. Half the articles are so badly written that I seriously have no idea what they’re talking about.

This article is no exception. The author is horribly biased; this isn’t journalism or news, it’s propaganda. They claim that an abortion was thrust on this girl (pardon my passive voice), but in all actuality, it is possible that the girl BEGGED to stay to complete the procedure. It was the FATHER that wanted to leave.

This isn’t a question of "emancipation’, which the article harped on. It’s a question of informed consent. A health care provider can use subjectivity to determine if a minor, especially a pregnant one, is intelligent enough to make a medical decision. Planned Parenthood obviously determined that the girl was informed and intelligent, and when that happens, the girl is in control over her medical care. Not her father.

Please keep this in mind when reading from that -]propaganda /-]website.

I would agree IF this was another agency. PP has been know to do this among many many other horrific things.

Also a parent should always have a say over a minor in cases such as these. A minor does not have the mental capicity to understand that having an abortion is very bad for her health. The goverment, and PP has no authority to over ride a parents wishes. EVER!

Who are we to say what a 14 year old minor can and can’t understand? Yeah, teens can be a bit egocentric and dramatic at times, but so can adults. I know some pretty mature 15 year olds and some pretty juvenile 40 year olds.

If I were 14 and needed chemo for cancer or something, I would wish to be informed about the chemicals and the procedure. I would want to be the one signing the papers. In that kind of situation, it IS NOT my parent’s choice. It is MINE. This case is no different to me.

I am sorry but as a minor you are under your parents supervision and not your own. At 14 no matter how “mature” you or others think you are, you are not capible of making these dissions. This is what bothers me most about our socity. We want to make an a child an adult (or let them think they are one) so that adults don’t have act like one.

How old was the virgin Mary when Jesus was born? Was she too immature?

We have increased our lifespans dramatically in the last century. When 30 or 40 was considered old age, 15 was the midlife crisis. Now that people live to 80 years and older, they forget that just because a teen is young, doesn’t mean they’re not mature.

I had some pretty major medical issues in my early teens and, after talking it over with my parents, they allowed me to go to the appointments by myself and take charge of my own medical care. I am a happy healthy lady in her late 20s now. According to you, my parents were in the wrong for allowing me to figure out my body on my terms.

In regards to the law, check out this link. Washington (where this happened) is not one of the states that requires parental consent.

Again, with that said, I am against abortion, but I’m also against people taking away the rights of minors. I don’t think this girl should have an abortion, but I think if this were some other medical situation and the father was deliberately going against the wishes of his daughter, he would be in the wrong.

The age of consent in WA is 16. This was a crime that PP was helping to cover up. A crime against a 14-year-old girl! The man should have been in jail.

This was not a sting operation but the real deal. Happens every day in PP clinics all across the USA.

Sorry Plinko, I am calling BS on you. Your attitude says something quite different. We don’t say “yada-yada” about 3500 babies dying DAILY in this country alone. And your post is so pro-Planned Parenthood you may as well be one of their spokesmen.

But Plinko was correct. From the police report:

“the patient did not want her father there and he was refusing to leave…the patient did not want her father there as she was afraid of him…”

When they finally removed the girl from the facility, she was crying and visibly shaken because she didn’t want to go home. It was her choice to be there.

The article was deceptive, according to the police report. PP wasn’t trying to force a raped teen to have an abortion at all. They were trying to protect her from her father because she kept saying she was afraid of him. Nor were they trying to give her an abortion… because according to the police report, she was too far along for PP to give her an abortion, and they had to refer her elsewhere for it (so it’s not about the bottom line either).

As to the father of the child, the girl said, “didn’t want to get him in trouble…She stated that she did not want to get pregnant” and she refused to identify the man to authorities.

So basically, they had this girl hiding there because her irate father pitched a fit and she was afraid to deal with him…however the father is the one who drover her to PP, knowing already that she was pregnant.

Sounds like a domestic dispute to me, and not much to do with an abortion since PP could not deliver the services wanted. And I can’t understand how the father has one iota to whine about since he’s the one who brought her there to begin with

I think that if these articles stuck to the facts, they would have a better chance to make PP look bad. But once they start misquoting and misrepresenting, they are the ones who end up looking bad.

Are you kidding me with this?

If you look, you’d notice the conversation is about when teenagers are mature, NOT that this woman should have an abortion.

Additionally, the yada yada was my abbreviation for the same old story everyone else has here: Abortion is wrong because it ends a life. Want me to write a paragraph about it and waste your time, my time, and characters? Or instead of me writing stuff you already agree with, why don’t I post a more modern version of the phrase et cetera (yada yada)

THIRD, please don’t read my posts as if I were a bitter feminazi. I’m not. I promise. I like to push buttons, sure, but I’m not the witch you’re making me out to be.

I said NOTHING about being pro-planned parenthood. However, I am very pro-minor rights. Please don’t read more into that than what I’ve written.

I’d also appreciate an apology for calling me a liar. God knows I’m pro-life and I don’t need your attitude about it.

Thank you for putting it far more eloquently than I could. I agree 100% with this.

It has nothing to do with abortion and everything to do with a poorly designed propaganda website.
