My Brother-in-Law and his wife are going to be visiting me in a couple months and he is a fallen away Catholic. I think he now believes there is a God but doesn’t profess any specific religion, or possibly even agnostic. I know he and his wife are active in Planned Parenthood as her mother is the president in their area of the United States and is quite the activist.

My Brother-In-Law is very argumentative and it will be a challenge to keep the discussions charitable. I understand they both have significant issues with Church Teachings, he was confirmed in the Church (poorly catechized) and from a broken home whose Dad was involved in a premarital affair with a woman he now is married and enjoys communion in the Church with). I can explain most of those issues if the conversation presents itself; however, I know little about Planned Parenthood other than it supports abortion and contraception.

Is there anything else I should know about this organization…does it do any good acts?
When does the organization believe life begins?
Good web sites to discuss the organization from the Catholic perspective?

I see this as an opportunity to evangelize and would appreciate any assistance through guidance in the intellectual area and of course prayers.
God bless
Brad

I think a good place to start would be doing a google search on Margaret Sanger.

ETA Planned Parenthood doesn’t JUST support abortion, they provide a good majority of the abortions in this country.

As for myself. I would not stand for any attacks upon my Faith. They are visiting you. It not only falls upon you to behave charitably. I would not bring up the topic or any topic I think would cause a problem and the moment he does I would point this out to him and refuse to talk on the subject.

If they are not open to a true open and charitable discussion then there is no need to beat your head against a wall.

Planned Parenthood is one of the most, if not THE most vile and evil organizations to occupy the face of the Earth. All under the deceptive guise of doing ‘good’.

Thank you all for some good advise. I spent a few hours today looking at some other threads on the PP topic and I feel much more informed. thanks again.

God bless

One of the most vile, despicable organizations in the world. They make 10s of million a year from killing children. They promote sexual deviancy and promiscouity… They are beneath contempt

scroll down to Life Dynamics in Action…Planned Parenthood.

I believe a PP right here in AL was caught by Life Dynamics and the evidence has been on the Attorney General’s Desk for a few years now.

You will also be happy to know that the President of Life Dynamics, Mark Crutcher has Fr. Pavone of Priest for Life on his program quite offten.

Spend a few hours on these two websites and you’ll get a pretty clear picture at just how wonderful (puking smilie inserted here) PP really is!
