Marcus Grodi has a fictional novel called “How Firm a Foundation” about a Protestant Minister becoming Catholic for the reasons you mentioned. Perhaps this might be what you are looking for. It is available on-line or at most Catholic bookstores. I haven’t read, so I can’t attest to the literary quality.
