Please, I need your prayers

I have two friends that I think are in danger. I don’t know the whole story, they’ve both spared me the details and half the info. I know it involves one of my friends talking with a dead man that he hasn’t spoken to in ‘centuries’ or better, ‘a millenia’ and another friend having super-natural powers and talking to demons. (She could freeze water by thinking about it, her other friend has fire… like elemental powers in a fantasy RPG or something)

My friend that speaks with the dead man also ‘saves’ people. He ‘closes things’ that are open and ‘rights the wrong’.

I am so afraid right now, I’m all but shaking. … no wait, I think I am shaking. My friend’s told me that if I pray for him, the dead man’ll get angry and he might get hurt… please, please help me. I don’t know what to do. I want to pray… but I can’t bear him to get hurt!

He’s Jewish and my other friend’s Catholic. Please, please… if you can post any help, do so. They don’t live near me, they’re friend’s off the 'net so I can’t talk to them in person. I’ve known them for a while and the like… oh, I’m so, so afraid… I can’t even type right.

Just, I beg you, help…
 
First calmly pray the rosary. Give it to Mary and ask her to help your friends who believe this.

If you do not know how to pray the rosary please say the Come Holy Spirit prayer
Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of your faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of your love
send forth your spirit and things are created
and you shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray
Lord by the light of the Holy Spirit you have taught the hearts of your faithful, in that same spirit help us to relish in what is right and rejoice in your consolation.
Amen
Trust in God and let go of the fear that your friends are trying to manipulate you with.

**Don’t listen to anyone who tells you not to pray; that is THE WORST ADVICE, certainly from the evil one. **God is bigger than any of these issues. Thus you must pray and entrust them to God. If you have not been to confession, examen yourself carefully and make the best confession with heartfelt desire to amend any evil tendencies. Frequent the Eucharist. When you take the Eucharist give your life to Christ that you may be one in him as he is in the Father. Ask him for his help. A good prayer comes from St. Ignatius of Loyola:

  1. *]Enter prayer by recognizing God’s presence with you. Go to Mary and talk with her about these issues and your desires. Ask for her intercession.
    *]Go then with Mary to Jesus, explaining the situation and desires to him. Pleading for his help.
    *]With Mary and Jesus, go to the Father and ask him for the grace you desire.

    What have you learned about your faith through this? I hope this has served to strengthen your faith and dependance on God.

Pray and pray again. The rosary is the strongest tool of prayer. Fr. Amorth, the Vatican’s exorcist recommends it, as do many others. Have no fear because demons can not harm what is God’s own, and you are definitely God’s own…that being said your story gave me the heebie jeebies too, and it is an easier thing to say than to practice. Pray to their guardian angels consistently, and to yours and Mary. Any one who fear an angel can not be a good spirit. Demons too have great power to prophesize.

They may be having you on too for fun, but this is not something that any one should ever play with.

A prayer which Amorth recommended, and which I like to use for people I fear in trouble:

My Lord, you are all powerful, you are God, you are Father.
We beg you through the intercession and help of all the archangels Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel, for the deliverance of our brothers and sisters who are enslaved by the evil one. All saints of heaven come to our aid.

From anxiety, sadness, and obsessions, we beg you, free us, O Lord.
From hatred, fornification, and envy, we beg you, free us, O Lord.
From thoughts of jealousy, rage, and death, we beg you, free us, O Lord.
From every thought of suicide and abortion,we beg you, free us, O Lord.
From every from of sinful sexuality, we beg you, free us, O Lord.
From every division in our family and every harmful friendship, we beg you, free us, O Lord.
From every sort of splee, malefice, witchcraft and every form of the occult, we beg you, free us, O Lord.

Lord, you who said “I leave you peace, my peace I give you,” grant that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, we may be liberated from every evil spell and influence and enjoy your peace always. In the name of Christ our Lord. Amen
 
You probably have read this before too, but Sr. Faustina used to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet for souls in purgatory or to banish the hold that demons seemed to have on people in her visisons.

I mean - is it possible they’re just making this stuff up?
I’m having a really hard time swallowing the likelihood this person is really freezing water with her mind.
But that is the cynic in me I guess.
 
Lorarose has a good point. They may not actually be doing all of those things. If they are interested in the occult, it may be due to a need to feel powerful and in control of their lives. Whatever the case, they are involved to some degree in something evil. It may be just to scare others as they are scaring you or it may be wishful thinking that they have all of those powers. Or they may be deeply involved with the occult. As everyone else has advised on the forum, you cannot go wrong with prayer. I would also suggest talking with your priest about your concerns and fears. You will probably feel a whole lot better if you can talk to someone face to face about something this scary.

I agree. At first, I thought you were just making this up and then I saw your post count. Ask you priest for advice.
