Please people don't attack the catholic church

Just want to say please don’t attack catholic churches!!! :o
I am planning of being a catholic this year by september!!! I know every church is not perfect but catholic churches are the first churches. Also do good things.

Congratulations! But remember, sometimes we must suffer not because Christ’s death isn’t enough, but because Christ suffered. The servant is never greater than the master.

I find that if think of the attacks in this way, it helps a little. Doesn’t make it hurt less, but helps me keep perspective.

I agree with Maria: don’t be afraid of the attacks. Just know that when they come, there is always an answer if you just remember where to look.
 
Don’t view them as attacks, view them as opportunities for practicing your apologetics. 🙂

Welcome, Stonewall! The Church has survived many attacks over her more than 2000 years of existence… Thank you for wanting to protect Her! You have the makings of a true Catholic 👍
 
It is said that Napoleon, having imprisoned Pius VII, wanted to complete his conquest of the Church. He drafted a concordat and brought it to the pope’s secretary of state, Cardinal Consalvi. Seeing that the concordat would surrender the Church to Napoleon’s control, Consalvi refused to sign it. Napoleon flew into a rage, shouting, “If this document remains unsigned, I shall destroy the Roman Catholic Church.” The insightful cardinal calmly replied, “Your Majesty, if popes, cardinals, bishops and priests have not succeeded in destroying the Church in the course of 19 centuries, how do you expect to do so in your lifetime?”

Nathan, Welcome to this great and beautiful religion. You must expect to be “attacked” now and then. Just makes you stronger and helps you learn more about the Church. You can always find the answers right here on “Catholic Answers”, a great source of information.

welcome, nathan! sentiment fully appreciated! but, being The True Church, Catholicism will always be attacked. and we’re called to defend her. remember what Jesus said about suffering, and suffering for His sake! 🙂
