Please pray for Stan, a cradle Catholic whose life has fallen apart. I met him today. Last year his wife and daughter got killed in a car accident and he had to identify the bodies. Since then he’s been seriously depressed, and recently tried to kill himself with an overdose of pills. He’s now in a hospital in Texas, without friends or family. He’s been diagnosed with serious liver problems. Tomorrow he checks out of the medical hospital and into a psychiatric hospital for a time, before he returns home to Utah.

This man is desperate, alone, and sad, and is begging to be put on prayer lists.

Thanks.

Praying for the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mary, as well St. Dymphna, patroness of mental illness.

May the Lord grant him peace, and may he feel the loving embrace of Jesus around him as he makes his way back to wholeness.

God bless this man; may he be comforted in his struggles by the peace of the Lord. Amen.

Praying for God’s peace for Stan and that he may find his hope in Him, who can comfort and heal his sorrows.

Father, you have told us that you will put no more on us than we can bear. Poor Stan has had all he can stand Father. I beg of you to give him Strength and understanding. Lift his spirits Lord. Guide him down the path that you want him to follow. He is crying out to you Lord… In Jesus name I pray… AMEN

I placed this petition with Blessed Mother Theresa.org. They will place it on Mothers tomb and Mass will be said on Friday.

I will keep Stan in my prayers daily, how sad,may GOD send HIS angels to surround him,and may he find peace in his life, although his cross is heavy,IN JESUS NAME I PRAY

Thanks Maggieodae. I bet Stan would be deeply touched. I was overwhelmed myself. A Mass on Mother Theresa’s tomb has to carry some weight, I’d think.

And thanks to all of you who have responded so far

The Holy Spirit groans to the Almighty Father in sorrow. Stan, we join our voices in this petition for peace and serenity. God bless you and keep you engaged in your life until it is your turn to go. Sad as this loss is, it too, shall pass.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, please, in your mercy, flood this man with graces, Anne

This is an overwhelmingly devestating event for Stan. I hope that his sojourn in a psychiatric hospital will cure the depression and would like to echo the prayer of Anne that The Sacred Heart flood his soul with Grace…and with strength, insight, consolation and comfort.

Stan will be in my prayers. What a burden. My heart goes out.

In God’s Name we pray,

Roo
