Please pray for all the victims of sex abuse

One of the other threads here reminded me of another category of abused persons – those victimized by clergy or Church personnel (including laity – teachers, coaches, etc). I can only imagine the pain and suffering, so please pray daily for the victims.

Many Catholics are understandably weary of the topic, but I would counter that the victims could stand to hear more empathy from us rank-and-file. I would love to hear the victims’ perspectives, if any choose to offer them here.

I choose not to be defensive about this topic (the press disproportionately targeting the Church, etc.-- it’s something we can offer up in reparation).

Place your healing touch on victims of sexual abuse. Whether incest from a family member or other trusted adult
Please remove any guilt from thier soul.

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal All the victims of sexual abuse. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
