Please Pray for Baby Thomas!

Update on Baby Thomas:

He passed the 2 pound mark and is becoming less dependant on the ventilator. Thanks be to God! And thanks to all who are praying for him and his mother, on earth and in heaven.

I also pray for God to watch over all the doctors and nurses who are caring for him.

Thank God!!! Will continue praying for that precious little one.(and of course his family and care givers.)

I followed Baby Thomas’ original prayer thread back when he was first born and have been praying for him from afar since. He and his family have been through a great deal, and on Monday he had some surgery to close his tracheostomy and to take cartilage from his ribs to use to rebuild the rings of cartilage that line his trachea. He is in an induced coma to help him recover safely.

He has now developed a rather high fever which may indicate an infection which is quite dangerous in his precarious state.

Little Thomas and his family have fought so many good fights along the way and one can really see what a good and holy family they are from what they post on their website. Please pray for his swift and complete recovery. You can still visit his family’s website to read more about them or to see pictures of sweet little Thomas.
 
At tonight’s Mass, our priest offered the Mass for all those for whom we should pray and all those who have asked us to pray. I thought immediately of the prayer requests on CAF and intended that without having previously seen your request.

So, tonight’s Mass was offered for your intention.
 
O Lord with the Intercession of Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Jude, St. Anthony, St. Padre Pio, St. Faustina, Mother Teresa, and all of the Holy Angels and Saints … please send health to Thomas.

Thomas had to be put back on his ventilator yesterday. Please continue to pray for him and for his family that his lungs will grow strong and that the reflexes that come so easily to us like swallowing will come easily to little Thomas.
