I have committed lots of sins and probably won’t be able to go to Confession any time soon with the Coronavirus. Please pray to God to have mercy on me and on others in similar situations.

God loves you despite your sins and wants you to have his mercy for your own good because He loves you. The Sacrements offer you assurance that your sins are forgiven and thus are beneficial for that reason. However, do not think that God cannot forgive you apart from the Sacrament. You can make an act of contrition in the meantime. Don’t wait until Confession to confess and repent before God. Because like the Father of the prodigal son he is always there waiting to welcome you home if you are truly returning to Him.

Sin is that which will deprive you in some way. It will negatively affect you. Its like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer. God wants what is best for you which is why he wants to heal you of sin and it’s effects.
