I am a 24 y/o college student and no, I am not always the best Catholic but I go to confession and do the best I can. I recently got back into the faith about a year ago.
Well a month ago I committed a grave sin and today I found out that this sin could turn into a child. I don’t think I need to explain anymore.
I am not ready for this, and neither is she. We both have a lot of faith and do not; and will not, ever take part in an abortion.
This is not the person I want to marry so this is a scary situation for me. We do not know for sure yet but she is showing some signs and is late. If she is, I am going to do my best to make our relationship work with the help of God.
Now, please do not criticize me. I know I messed up and sinned, and I realize that many people can not have children and it is really a blessing from God when you can.
If it happens, I will embrace it and stand by her like a man instead of looking at this as a bad thing. I believe everything happens for a reason we may not understand.
However, at this point in my life I am just not ready. I had planned to go to law school next year.
I ask you great Catholic’s not to pray that she is not pregnant, rather to pray that we will both have the strength to handle whatever God’s will is in this situation, regardless of the turnout. I just ask that you pray that we will both have the strength to do the right thing.
God bless you all, and I can’t thank you enough for your prayers.
