I am in need of prayer…a prayer for strength and courage to do what I know I need to do. I need to offer forgiveness and sorrow so I can move on from a hurtful experience and offer my pain up to Christ.

Father, your humble servant comes to you
and ask for the strength to forgive and offer up
their pain and suffering. Please send down
your Holy Spirit upon this person and grant
them this strength. Give them peace, comfort, and defend them against all evil.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ!

Dear friend in Jesus. I am sad that you have been through a hurtful experience.
Dear Jesus, please hug this dear person, and go into the time of hurt to heal the wounds. Let this dear person experience the fullness of Your healing and cherishing love, and lead this dear one into the choices You desire.

I have prayed for the intercession of our Blessed Mother. She who saw her son abandoned loved the disciples even in their weakness. You can count on her intercession for forgiveness.
 
Hi, Neat! How about the Prayer of St. Francis when it comes to figuring out what you’re supposed to do and moving on in God’s love:

*Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace; **where there is hatred, let me sow love; **where there is injury, pardon; **where there is doubt, faith;**where there is despair, hope; **where there is darkness, light; **and where there is sadness, joy. **O Divine Master, **grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; **to be understood, as to understand; **to be loved, as to love; **for it is in giving that we receive, **it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, **and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. **Amen. *
 
Neat, I will pray for you. And I will share with you the prayer that works very well for me when I find myself hurt. The first time I found how powerful this is when you REALLY think of what you are saying, I had such a big hurt and resentment in my heart that I thought I’d never get rid of it. But truly thinking…I will mark the emphasis I use.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

When I think of how God forgives me, I am humbled, and know that I need to forgive others. And I feel so much better without all that resentment in my heart.
