Please Pray for My Dad

My Dad is 3 weeks away from his 90th birthday and tonight he began to show symptoms of the flu (chest congestion, fever, weakness, etc.). In the past two Novembers, he has been hospitalized for pneumonia and it took him a long time to recover each time. He has felt very nervous in the past few days. He is a devout Catholic who prays constantly. Please pray for his health to improve that he may not have to go into the hospital, if it is God’s will. His name is Michael.
 
Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Amen.
 
Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant Michael
for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
that being restored to bodily health,
he may give thanks to You in Your Church.
Through Christ our Lord.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Michael. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Michael’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear Jesus, Divine physician and healer of the sick; we turn to You in this time of illness. O’ Dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worries and sorrow with your gentle love and grant us grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God we place our worries in Your hands, we place our sick under Your care and humble ask that you restore Your ailing son to health again.

Prayer for Healing of Pneumonia

Lord, look upon CaliCork07’s father with eyes of mercy. May your healing hand rest upon him, clearing the congestion in his lungs and relieving any discomfort. May your life-giving powers flow into every cell of his body and into the depths of his soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury
of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with
great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will,
which is Love and Mercy itself.
 
Lord:

Please send Your healing strength to Your Son Michael so that he may recover from his illness. Bless him with the celebration of turning 90 and may he celebrate many more to come. We ask this through Christ Jesus, AMEN
