I’m beginning to wonder if I truly have a call…I’m still unsure, but I have been extremely interested in becoming a religious sister for a while. My parish priest has connections to an order close by, and I’ve been talking to an Ursuline sister via email since before my baptism this Easter vigil. I would appreciate prayers so I can see if this is truly my vocation in life.

Thank you! 🙂

Loving God,

You have received your loving daughter, Poetess Kera, into your Holy Church and she is prayfully considering the plans you have for her life. Please help her to know the true plan you have for her, dear Lord, and help her to steadily grow in her prayer life and in her ability to listen to your call to her. Please help Poetess Kera to discern during this time and to consider the many gifts she has, and how they might best be used to serve you and your people, dear Lord.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, empowered by your Holy Spirit, who live and reign with you, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Lord Jesus,
up until now you have been quietly
preparing Poetess Kera to be your disciple.
Now the time of preparation is ending.
Poetess Kera seem to hear you say to her,
as once to Peter; “Will you also go away?”

You were saddened then by friends who failed you.
But Peter did not fail.
“Lord,” he said, “to whom shall we go?
You have the words of eternal life.”

We stand with Peter.
Through prayer and counsel,
show Poetess Kera, Lord,
where it is in your vineyard
that you want her to serve.
Then give Poetess Kera
strength to be faithful.

Mary, Mother and Model,
help Poetess Kera to
respond in generous love
to the call of your Divine Son.
Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Dear Kera it is our great pleasure to pray for your discernment of religious life.I will certainly keep you in my prayers May God bless you alwaysxx

“LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Psalm 16:5-8

“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.”
Daniel 2:20-22

Psalm 32:8-10
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you and watch over you.”

Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.

Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the LORD’s unfailing love
surrounds the man who trusts in him."

For surely I know the plans
I have for you, says the Lord,
plans for your welfare
and not for harm,
to give you a future and a hope.
When you call upon me
and come and pray to me,
I will hear you.
You will seek me and find me;
when you seek me
with all your heart,
I will be found by you,
says the Lord…
(Jeremiah 29:11-14a)

Loving God,
may I take on the mind and heart of Christ,
that I may hear your call
for my life
and embrace your world
through my prayer, my work, and my life with others,
in Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Loving God,
may I take on the mind and heart of Christ,
that I may hear your call
for my life
and embrace your world
through my prayer, my work, and my life with others,
in Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Poetess Kera

Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a Nun so when I was 18 I wished to enter into religious life and I begged my dad to take me to see the sisters so I could begin the process . The lovely Reverend Mother questioned me extensively and then told me to wait and grow some more and if I was still determined I could come back . Well I was pretty miffed about that I can tell you ! I thought they would be so grateful and fall at my feet !
It turns out that she was right to advise me to wait . We are only human and as such suffer from insecurities and failings . Don’t lose hope I believe that what will be WILL BE either way you are a good person .
Doubts are a good thing it is right to question everything . Talk to your parrish priest who I expect will give great advice .

I will hold you in my prayers

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
thy kingdom come thy will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven
give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our tresspasses
as we forgive those who tresspass against us
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil
Amen:

🤷

God bless

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
