Prayer of Confidence to St. Anthony

Most holy St. Anthony, Beloved Friend of Jesus, I place myself in your heavenly care. Be with me, especially in life’s troubles and difficulties. Intercede before the Lord for me, so that I may confidently know I do not face my problems alone.

I join my prayers to yours, O Great Saint, as I ask God to give me consolation in times of sorrow, courage when I am afraid, and healing from all the ills that afflict me.

Obtain for me from God, Most High, the grace to accept whatever is God’s holy will for me and my loved ones. Strengthen my faith so that I will never despair, but always have hope in God’s healing presence and power in my life. Amen.

Will keep you and your family in my prayers also, praying that your father will find a way to get a loan or earn some extra money somehow, or borrow from someone to help him out of this and get back on the right track.

II will pray for you.
However I am an accountant and I have some questions.
Is it just for only paying the taxes?

Is there a Mortgage on the home, if yes you maybe able to work it out with that company since they will not want the property to go to tax sale.

If they own the house free and clear, they should be able to get an equity line with is secured by the value of the house these types of loan are a lot quicker than a mortgage.

Try borrowing from family or friends.

Even try getting loan from your Church’s St Vincent society.

Or if a loan is not possible, is there any chance to sell it.

You don’t want it to go to tax sale since this is by auction.

Let’s say they owe 10,000 and house is worth 100,000 if they sell and pay 10,000 prop taxes and around 8,000 in sales commission and closing cost they would keep 80,000 (the first 250,000 per spouse is income tax free if it’s been their main home for the past 2 years)

If it goes to tax sale it is possible that the auction price might be only 70,000 thus after paying property tax they would keep only 60,000.
As you can see this should be the last resort.
I am not sure about your states rule but some state will give you up to the date of the auction before they sell it.

Good luck.
I hope this was helpful.
I will pray for you.

There was no mortage. My dad bought the house from a family friend. It has already been sold by auction. We only found out a week ago. Apparetnly my dad does not read his mail.

He has no job so getting a loan will be very difficult. My dad’s parents have already bailed him out of a similar situation. My mom has terrible credit. She was unemployed for about 2 years.

 Things have gotten worse. The other day i found my family will kicked out of the place they have been staying in 2 months. My parents haven’t found a place yet. My mom works 6 days 40-50 hours a week. It doesn’t seem to bother my dad that we will have no home. He doesn’t think all of this is a reason to get a job. I told my mom that maybe it is time to move on without him.

I’m praying for you and your family. Your dad might be in denial…
