Please pray for my family!

Bless you all in advance for any prayers that you might offer for my intention:

I am having a truly awkward and scary time getting along with my parents. My fiancee and I are to be married on 4 September of this year and my parents are still having problems… Out of respect, I do not wish to divulge details here. Please pray for all of us!
 
I will pray. I didn’t convert to Catholicism until after I was married. I still got married in the Catholic church where I first knew I should convert. Twenty years later, it is still our parish.

My family was Baptist and very anti-Catholic. I worried up until the wedding ceremony had started about how my dad would act. Fortunately it all went well.

I will pray that all will be resolved and that your marriage will be blessed by God.

Thank you all! Last night, even as I was posting the prayer request, my fiancee was on the telephone with his spiritual director, a most wonderful priest! He later called my father and got a few things out in the open. There is just a whole lot going on under the actual wedding planning, and I happened to serve as a bit of a scapegoat in the relief of tensions… and my fiancee was injured for me and with me when my parents fought with me. Things are better now. Please continue to pray for us and all families that are going through the process of accepting adult children.

God bless you all! I count myself truly blest to be a part of the Mystical Body of Christ with all of you!

P.S. Our situaltion could really not be better. Both my fiancee and I are faithful Catholics from practicing Catholic hones. My 11 younger siblings are amazed and excited to tell me that many of our priest-friends have sent in postitive responses to the invitations! This makes my 4 little brothers who are to be altar boys quite happy. There might well be more priests than altar boys in the sanctuary!

For so many reasons, I can see that I am truly blest!
