My 21-year-old niece, Mary, has had five brain surgeries in less than a year. She has a rare condition called pseudo tumor cerebri. Her intercranial pressure becomes extremely elevated (hydrocephalus.) My brother and sister-in-law went to her home to check on her on Tuesday, and found her having a seizure. She was rushed to the hospital, and her neurosurgeon performed yet another surgery. Mary has regained consciousness, but is extremely weak and confused. She is not out of the critical care unit yet, and we (her family) are understandably worried. We would love to see her have a respite from hospitals and debilitating pain for at least a year, please God. The condition is chronic, but some patients go for a relatively long time without having to have the shunt replaced.

My niece also has a young husband and a baby son, both of whom depend on her and need her. Please, please pray.

O Jesus, Divine Healer and Physician, we fully believe in your healing power. We humble ourselves to you O Lord. Father, please halt the suffering of your servant in her time of need. Your will is the greatest and your will be done. In Jesus name I pray… AMEN.

"Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art Thou among and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb Jesus. Holy Marry, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen"

Will keep your neice who is ill, and her husband and baby son in prayer

Praying for a total and speeding healing for this young wife and mother. I pray for her doctors and for her family as they look for cures.

Saint Teresa of Avila, whilst here on earth, you were no stranger to debilitating headaches and other mysterious ailments. This is why we entrust Mary to your patronage

Your suffering led to the many graces to accomplish His will, and your glory has obtained many spiritual favors for us. We ask you to take this petition before your Divine Spouse that Mary’s hydrocephalus be relieved would be fixed with but a look from Him.

Inspire Mary’s family with the confidence that the Heavenly Physician Himself will guide the hands of her doctors. May treatment be swift and effective, and may udoc89’s niece be restored to health holiness all of her days. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord, Amen.

To all of you who have been praying for my precious niece, please keep praying! Here we are less than two weeks since the last surgery, and she has had to go back to the neurosurgeon AGAIN today to have the spinal fluid drained and the shunt replaced. This is not consistent with how this condition usually presents–at least from what I’ve been able to gather from reading about it online.

It is very easy for me to tell other people how blessed they are to have a share in Our Lord’s sufferings, but when it comes to a member of my own family (and this just seems so senseless) it’s hard not to ask God why…😦

We would love for her to have some relief from this–at least for a year!
