Please pray for my son, Colton, to continue to gain weight

Hey everyone. Would you please pray for my son, Colton, to continue gaining weight? The previous thread got locked. His doctors are happy with his progress and they say we are doing everything we can do to help him.

We had a video conferencing appointment with his geneticist doctor today and we found out that inherited his chromosome problem from me. The geneticist told us that the chromosome problem is definitely the cause of his eating disorder and weight gain problems. They said there is a 50 50 chance of me passing it on to a future child and that a future child could have it a lot worse than Colton. They said that if I had a girl, it would likely not be as severe though. They told us to keep doing what we are doing with his tube feedings and everything and we’ll follow up with them in a year.

Thank you everyone for your prayers for Colton to continue gaining weight. I don’t have an update about his weight but I did want to let you all know that he is doing well. I think his next weight check is next week but I’m not 100% certain on that. I’ll do my best to keep you updated.

Hey everyone. Thank you very much for your prayers for Colton to continue to gain weight. He had an appointment with the doctor this morning for another weight check which he gets every 2 weeks and he has gained 1 lb in the past two weeks. This is a very good weight gain for him. He now weighs 34 lbs and 8 oz. We’re trying to get him to 40 lbs but he doesn’t normally gain more than 1 lb every 2 weeks so it’s a somewhat slow process.

Hey everyone. Colton had an appointment with his primary doctor again today. He had to go a week early because he was urinating more frequently than usual and we were concerned about him possibly having a urinary tract infection or some other problem. Thankfully, he does not have an infection. However, we do have some excellent news! It’s only been 1 week since his last weight check and he has gained almost an entire pound! It normally takes him 2 weeks to gain a pound so he has gained weight more rapidly this time which is a good thing. We’re trying to get him to 40 lbs as quickly as possible. Thank you very much for your prayers! They’re working!
